Kathleen of “A Walk through Durham Township” helped me to refine an idea that I have been tossing around for awhile now and attempted to start via Flickr. She suggested that since this blog is about promoting photoblogs maybe I should show the images here rather than somewhere else.
I’m not sure why that idea didn’t come to mind in the first place, but thanks very much Kathleen.
So staring next Tuesday keep your eyes open for the image of the week. For the first while I will be personally selecting the images and telling you why I decided on the image. In the future I will open it up to other photobloggers to post their pick of the week.
I’m also working on a couple of ideas based around the pick of the week so keep your eye’s open for some more announcements.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have created a new Flickr pool for the blog. My plan is to publish two of the best images submitted by the readers a week. Make sure that you include you photoblogs URL in the comments on the images that you post!
Check out the Flick group, and get your images posted.

I have been reading alot about SEO (search engine optimization) for my other websites recently, and figured that I would create an overview SEO document for photobloggers.
Basically, SEO is the practice of ranking well on various search engines in order to get visitors to your site via searches.
Before you start any SEO project, remember one thing - that SEO is a marathon not a race! Plan for the long-term and don’t make massive changes all at once. Measure the increase (or decrease) your changes make and act accordingly!
